Not ranked: combinations have no published studies of their own. See the components below.

A PubMed search found no published studies of this combination; only reviews mention it. Sermorelin was once FDA-approved (Geref, since discontinued); ipamorelin has small human pharmacology studies.

Tiers rate the strength of published evidence — not effectiveness, safety, or a recommendation.

Overview

A well-tolerated GH secretagogue blend pairing the bioidentical GHRH fragment Sermorelin with the selective GHRP Ipamorelin for balanced growth hormone stimulation.

Research status No published studies of the combination; sermorelin was FDA-approved (Geref, since discontinued) and ipamorelin has small human pharmacokinetic studies

04

Mechanism

This blend combines sermorelin (bioidentical GHRH 1-29 acting via the GHRH receptor/cAMP pathway) with ipamorelin (selective ghrelin receptor agonist acting via IP3/PKC). The dual-pathway synergy amplifies GH pulses while both components maintain selectivity: sermorelin preserves feedback physiology and ipamorelin avoids cortisol/prolactin elevation.

05

Effects reported in research

These outcomes are attributed to the individual components. The combination itself has not been studied.

  • Balanced GH elevation via dual pathways
  • Improved sleep quality and recovery
  • Enhanced fat metabolism
  • Minimal side effects due to selectivity
06

Safety & unknowns

Both components have established clinical safety histories. Sermorelin was previously FDA-approved (Geref). Ipamorelin has Phase II data. Combined profile expected to be very well-tolerated. Common side effects: headache, flushing, injection site irritation. Not FDA-approved as a combination.

Unknowns. The combination itself has not been studied; interactions between its components are unknown.

Studies [2]

  1. Preclinical 1998

Ipamorelin, the first selective growth hormone secretagogue

Rat and swine study on the ipamorelin component showing selective GH release without increases in ACTH or cortisol.

  2. Clinical trial 1997

Effects of single nightly injections of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29) in healthy elderly men

Six-week study of nightly GHRH 1-29 (the sermorelin sequence) in 11 elderly men: some muscle-strength measures improved, with no change in body composition or metabolic measures.
